It always fun when our weddings bring different people from different places together. When Swedish romance meets Greek temperament, things ignite! That’s the story of Richard and Christina. Christina is Greek Canadian and Richard is Swedish and they live in Scotland but they dreamed of having their wedding here in Canada where Christina grew up.
Their wedding ceremony was held at the St Mary’s Romanian Orthodox Church. You could just tell how in love they were during the ceremony they couldn’t stop looking at each other, we kept catching them peaking glimpse at each other. There was just so much love in the air! When the ceremony ended, the guests headed outside to celebrate Christina and Richards union by throwing bird seed on them, I think this was meant to be a gentile toss of bird seed but turned into a hilarious moment of guest whipping bird seed at them.
While the guests enjoy cocktails on the beautiful Bonterra Trattoria patio, we went to confederation park to take some beautiful photos of Christina and Richard. It was the perfect time of the day with the most beautiful sun! (and a little rain shower).
Their reception was held at Bonterra and was a perfect location for their wedding. It felt like we were in a beautiful old restaurant in Europe. There were so many tears, and even more laughter during their speeches. Richard loves hobbits, so Christina decided to surprise her husband-to-be and the rest of the guests with a beautiful hobbit themed cake!
Their intimate reception brought together guests from all different backgrounds and turned into one amazing party!
Thank you both for letting us celebrate your beautiful union.
