The weather in Calgary seemed to be against us from the start for Jon and Tanya's big day. Every time we stepped outside the skies opened up, but these two never stopped smiling. A big thank you to Hotel Arts and Yellow Door Bistro you guys were lifesavers!

John & Tanya’s wedding was absolutely beautiful with so many elements of the day that we were excited to be part of.   Their day started off with Tanya and her bridesmaids all getting ready at her parents house, and John getting ready in his downtown apartment.  You could tell they were both so excited to get married (and both a little nervous for all of the excitement to start)

After everyone was ready, they started with their wedding ceremony at the Center Street church with a  crowd of about 300 guests there to witness their beautiful vows to each other. After the ceremony we headed to Elbow Valley Residence club for a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony. This was a first for us to take part in and we have to say it was really beautiful to watch the families come together and share such beautiful words with John and Tanya. Tanya changed into a stunning red dress for the ceremony.

After the ceremony we headed to Inglewood to do start bridal party pictures, and as soon as we got downtown, the rain started. It wasn't just a light sprinkle of rain; it was an insane downpour.  We quickly called around and found that the incredible Hotel Arts would let us pop in to do a few pictures the bride and groom together.

We don’t even know where to start about the reception at the Regency Palace in Calgary. There were amazing Lion Dances, greeting each table with a drink (which got louder and rowdier as they made their way through the tables), an incredible dinner and an EPIC dance party.

Thank you so much John & Tanya for allowing us to capture your special day and we wish you a lifetime of happiness!

Well chalk another one up for the books. I gave eaten at Regency Palace and walked up that stairwell at least a hundred times and never noticed how beautiful it was! Thanks for sharing these beautiful pics Sandra and Scott
