Emma & Nick New Year Eve Wedding - Hudson - Calgary, AB - Walker Photography

2018 has been an amazing, adventurous year for us. We were lucky enough to finish the year off with an incredible couple! Nick & Emma’s romantic winter New Years Eve wedding was the perfect way to end the year.

Though the weather was below freezing with snow on the ground, Emma & Nick decided to have their first look outside. Emma looked decadent with her hair and makeup by Top Knot Brides in her floor-length gown covered in dreamy sparkles. Nick looked incredible handsome and was sharply dressed in a sleek black tux. The backdrop of the George King Bridge was the perfect scenery for the couple’s first look, and the emotional moment right when Nick saw his bride-to-be will never be forgotten.

After they had a few moments alone together, we headed inside the Simmons Building to Charbar for some stunning shots of the wedding party together. Followed by a quick visit to the beautiful hidden basement lounge Subrosa (we can never seem to get enough of photographing in Subrosa, it has such a unique feeling to it).

Nick & Emma’s ceremony took place at the Hudson Event Space where the room was romantically lit which created a cozy feeling. The ceremony was sweet and fun, and we just couldn’t get enough of watching Emma softly and caringly touch Nick’s face while he was reading his vows. The end of the ceremony was topped of with a Champagne toast to the newlyweds.

The evening continued with dinner, heartwarming speeches and dancing while they waited for the ball to drop to ring in the New Year together! We even managed to sneak them outside for some chilly but beautiful photos along Stephen Avenue and the Bay arches.

We wish Nick & Emma an incredible life full of laughter and love together.
