We are finally getting the chance to sit down and work on our blogs from this years weddings, the year feels like it has flown by and we cant believe how incredible it has been.
We spent a chilly and snowy May 4th celebrating Isabella & Alistair's beautiful Scottish & Italian wedding. Isabella spent the morning getting ready at her parents house where she grew up. Her makeup was done by Rola Muhieddine from Maison Blu and hair by Shauna Dubord Hair. Alistair spent the morning at home where he and his groomsmen spent time putting together their traditional kilt outfits. We love how they all wore his clan's tartan to celebrate his Scottish heritage.
The two decided tie the knot at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Calgary surrounded by all of their family and friends.
After the ceremony we took them for photos at the new Calgary Central Public Library, which was very suiting as Alistair is a teacher who recently had his students do a project on this exact library. Since the weather had turned so cold that week, we tried to stay warm as long as possible. We did however spend a short bit of time outside enjoying the big soft snowflakes that started to fall from the sky.
Isabella & Alistair's wedding reception was held at the Hudson in the Bay's building downtown Calgary and everything was so beautifully decorated by their wedding planner Lisa Laplante with Everlasting Impressions
Their wedding was nothing but fun and laughter from start to finish. We saw our first ever first dance wrapping, lots of Star Wars (May the 4th) references, and a few well timed Chewbacca imitations.
