We love when our couples give themselves completely on their wedding days. Ruza and Daniel froze through their engagement photos, then braved the pouring rain on their wedding day.

Ruza’s getting ready location was as beautiful as an art gallery and she spent a quiet and peaceful morning with her closest friends. Her hair was done by her longtime friend Eni Petrovic and her makeup by Nicky Makeup.

 Dan spent the morning getting ready at his parent’s house, where his little usher’s and ring bearer also got ready with him. Prior to the wedding, Dan had taken all 3 boys shopping to help them pick out what they would wear to the wedding, and the best part, he let them choose anything that they wanted to wear (one of them chose a tux jacket with tails).

As Ruza’s family is Croatian, they had their wedding ceremony at the Calgary Croatian Catholic Parish.

After their wedding ceremony was over we went to Fish Creek Park for photos with their wedding party. It was a very chilly afternoon but the best thing about chilly weddings is it gives the couple a reason to snuggle just a little bit closer to stay warm. They were both complete naturals in front of the camera and you can just see the joy as they reveled in their newly married love.

They had their wedding reception in the hall in the basement of the Calgary Croatian Catholic Parish. It was so beautifully decorated and had enough space for their huge amount of guests (including 95 children).  

 It was a beautiful wedding with an amazing couple and everything about their day was so truly them!
